Meanwhile in the forest
Numerous myths and legends entwine around them and we remember all the stories that took us as children into the enchanted and mysterious world of the forests. Thousands of years ago, the whole of Central Europe was covered by primeval forests. Only a few have survived. The forest is a wild paradise - cultivated by man - but still the habitat of a great diversity of species. This summer, the La Strada festival invites artists to work in a forest in the Graz region and to explore the relationship between humans and their non-human environment.
In reference to the multi-layered, participatory project "Signal am Dachstein", La Strada thus takes another step in artistic work in the complex relationship between humans and nature in challenging times of change. The collective Navaridas ° Deutinger ° Wolf will reflect on the special natural space and leave civilisation behind as far as possible with its visitors. In zw'eig's immersive course, you can become a forest dweller within a few hours, and the Dutch artist Emke Idema is building an experimental learning space, a "school of unlived worlds".
