Hans receives a huge lump of gold from his master as a reward for his loyal service. He pulls out a small cloth, wraps the lump, puts it on his shoulder, and sets off for home. What Hans experiences, who he meets, and how much luck he brings home is told by Daniel Wagner in his unmistakably comedic yet profound play.
