Happy Hype brings a festive, explosive performance to Graz’s Hauptplatz – an energetic mix of Afro and hip-hop beats, shaped by a spirit of carnivalesque exuberance. Gentle, playful and without pressure, the “Ouinchs” – mischievous little fairies – invite the audience to become part of a universal, inclusive celebration. Between traditional dance and contemporary clubbing, a utopian ritual takes shape.
Happy Hype was developed with Swiss DJ, producer and activist Mulah (Maud Hala Chami), who is committed to equality in the music scene and to a new, diverse and vibrant club culture. In Graz, the Swiss-Moroccan artist Mânaa will take to the DJ booth, transforming Hauptplatz into an open-air dancefloor.
