The combination of acrobatics, contemporary dance and Asian martial arts forms the basis of Compagnie Le doux supplice’s artistic language. Their physical work is shaped by authentic simplicity and organic rhythm – a harmony that does not regard the body as a “tool” of performance, but as a medium for poetry, passion and enthusiasm.
Les petites épopées… (“The Little Epics”) is an act of resistance against a predetermined fate – an invitation to dance, feel and act together. From the movement of the group, an “army of solidarity” gradually emerges, filling the square with energy, hope and strength. And with the certainty that we will never see this place in quite the same way again.
