Zwermers at La Strada 2025

The Dutch collective Zwermers (meaning “Swarmer”) works on artistic research projects exploring the relationship between clothing and identity. Their current work focuses on the city and its inhabitants. Through workshops, encounters, and interventions in public space, a collective textile portrait of Graz is being created – told through seams and fabrics. The full production will premiere at La Strada next year. This summer, Zwermers present a public tryout as a work-in-progress.
Note: This article describes the development of “Wardrobes of Graz” by Zwermers at La Strada 2025. In 2026, the project was further developed with local performers and will be presented at La Strada 2026 under the title “Worn out?”: All information on “Worn out?” at La Strada 2026.

During the festival week 2025, the artists opened a shop in the centre of Graz at Albrechtgasse 1/corner of Sparkassenplatz.

26 July to 1 August 2025 / from 2 pm to 6 pm
closed on Monday, 28 July.
A La Strada co-production in collaboration with Rimini Protokoll Berlin.
The project is realised in cooperation with the Fashion School Graz and Caritas Styria.
